SKILLS FOR INTERVIEW

SKILLS FOR INTERVIEW

Though the smartest and most qualified persons need to prepare for job interviews. We all know our first impression is our best impression; there are no second chances to say who we are in interview. We can easily improve our interview skills using following strategies.

First we have to clear our aptitude round.

By viewing the old question papers of the interviewer we can pass on easily.

In HR rounds we have to concentrate in the following things.

·     Dressing
Here dressing part takes more importance, because before we started interacting, their eyes start to notice us. Be simple. Try to be in casuals. Show that you are too comfortable with your dressing.

·     Listening:
From the very beginning of the interview, your interviewer is giving you information, either directly or indirectly. Good communication skills include listening and letting the person know you heard what was said. Try to observe your interviewer, and match that style and walk.

·     Interaction:
Try to have a friendly interaction. Have smile in your face. Telling the interviewer more than he needs to know could be a mortal mistake. When you have not prepared ahead of time, you may ramble when answering interview questions, sometimes talking yourself right out of the job. Mostly they interact related to our resume. So prepare your resume well.

·      Be simple:
The interview is a professional meeting to talk business. This is not about making a new friend. It is important to bring energy and enthusiasm to the interview and to ask questions, but do not overstep your place as a candidate looking for a job.

·     Language skills:
We should use professional language during the interview. Be confident and bold enough in your point. If language is very difficult and you are clear in your point you can use the language which you are comfort with. Be aware of any inappropriate slang words or references to age, race, religion, politics or sexual orientation -- these topics could send you out the door very quickly.

·     Attitude:
About our attitudes we need to concentrate on four things.
          i) Sharpen your acting skills
ii) Beware of developing “commission breath.”
        iii) Be confident, not cocky.
iv) Lastly, don’t forget to smile.

·      Ask Questions
If they asked do you have any questions, most candidates answer, no. Wrong answer. Part of knowing how to interview is being ready to ask questions that demonstrate an Interest in what goes on in the company. Asking questions also gives you the opportunity to find out if this is the right place for you. The best questions come from listening to what you're asked during the interview and asking for additional information.
 Example:
       Your questions may be,
                        1) Can you please tell me my weakness which I could improve and for doing better what will your suggestion to me?
                         2) Can you please tell me if I am selected when I am join your company or if I am not selected which thing I will improve.

All The Best for your Interview.
